Kitteh katch up

Despite the lack of regular blogging, I have steadily been going about my unofficial business of mog collecting and have found another eight terrific felines for our enjoyment. I'm slightly pooped tonight though so will only list half of them for now. Like buses, or bills, they all seem to come along at once; yesterday, in a new area in SW20, I spotted five on one street. Despite its proximity to the rumbling A3, it was pure catopia!

Streetmog number: 221
Streetmog name: George
Actual name:
Favourite Location: Door step, wanting in
Preferred stroke: Head scrunch
Character: Bemused
Other: George is rather princely in his appearance so this predictable copy cat name sits well with him. He was a funny old bean, seemingly perplexed at my willingness to play yet inability to let him in. I met this lovely, shiny and solid tabby on what has become the most pussy-prolific of streets near Wimbledon Park.

Streetmog number: 222
Streetmog name: Buttercup
Actual name:
Favourite Location: Various residences
Preferred stroke:
Character: Scaredy-kit
Other: This dainty little gingie-white gave me the runaround for a few minutes, moving from door to door through garden after garden, but never letting me get close for some fussing. She eventually stopped at what I presumed to be her house, but vanished under a car. She was a very sweet little thing.

Streetmog number: 223
Streetmog name: Horatio
Actual name:
Favourite Location: Front lawn
Preferred stroke: Head tickle
Character: Bestie
Other: Horatio was a confident and most affectionate old chap. I loved his portly appearance and swagger as he strolled over to say hello, miaowing all the while. Some good fussing was had by all. What a delightful puss.

Streetmog number: 224
Streetmog name: Chris Froome
Actual name:
Favourite Location: Path, pavement, legs & lap
Preferred stroke: All of it
Character: NUTS
Other: Man oh man I LOVED this cat. As soon as I turned into the garden path, he made a beeline for me and demanded my attention, which he duly received. He would not keep still with his constant leg weaving, head butting and body flopping/rolling. All the while he let out the most endearing (and loud) miaow and, once I decided to move on, proceeded to follow me down the street for more cuddle action. He got more, of course. So much energy, such a champion...

  1. Oh Horatio! We've got a puddy just like him up our street, she literally comes running (belly swaying and tail shivering) for love and attention (and gets it!).
Isn't Chris Gorgeous?! There's got to be some Oriental in there for that amount of character hey?
    Thanks Mr. P
