Mostly missing my missing mog

It is with a heavy heart that I write today's post, as my beloved cat Lincoln is still missing. It's been four days now and I don't have a good feeling about it. I wish he'd just come home but most of all I hope he's okay and being looked after. I have spotted quite a few streetmogs in SW19 over the last couple of days and, despite my sadness, it's time they got written up. They don't fill the hole left by the disappearance of my dear pushtie but it's still a tonic to meet them...

Streetmog number: 244
Streetmog name: Purvis
Actual name:
Favourite Location: Path
Preferred stroke: Chin tickle
Character: Inquisitive
Other: Purvis was a very sweet little chap, following me around a cluster of flats as I went about my duty. He had a lovely miaow and was very keen to be fussed over; he duly received some full on fussing.

Streetmog number: 245
Streetmog name: Sapphire
Actual name:
Favourite Location: Patio
Preferred stroke:
Character: Wary
Other: This beautiful feline was rather wary of me and my mail bag. I tried my best to convince her that I was a friendly sort in need of a cuddle but she was not having it. To be honest, my work colleague was waiting for me and I really didn't have time to hang around, but I was glad to meet her, if only briefly. She lives in the same location as Peewee and I noticed other cats inside so this place is rich for the pussy picking!

Streetmog number: 246
Streetmog name: Apollo
Actual name:
Favourite Location: Pavement & paths
Preferred stroke:
Character: Insecure
Other: For a normal black mog, Apollo was pretty stunning. He followed me for a few minutes and seemed genuinely interested in saying hello and getting a stroke or two, but every time I attempted the latter he jumped back. As I headed off, he continued to stare at me with those amazing eyes.

  2. I'm so sorry Lincoln is missing! I've heard lots of good-news stories about cats coming home even after weeks, so I hope yours is one of those. Have you let your local Cat Protection group know? They are really good with getting the word out.

  3. I hope he comes home soon! I know how anxious you must feel. My old indoor/outdoor kitty used to be gone for days and a couple of times, it spanned weeks. Now my kitties are indoor only, I sometimes take them out on a leash but rarely.
